A place to gather
Flexible main hall, well-lit and warm, suitable for groups of every size — from a quiet committee meeting to a full village dance.
For well over a century our hall has been the meeting place for local clubs, classes, celebrations and conversations — a warm, welcoming room at the middle of village life. All are welcome, and the kettle is always on.
Our Institute exists for the local community. Whatever you need — a place to meet, to celebrate, to learn, or to gather neighbours around a table — our doors are open.
Flexible main hall, well-lit and warm, suitable for groups of every size — from a quiet committee meeting to a full village dance.
Weddings, birthdays, christenings, anniversaries and wakes — a simple, beautiful room that can be dressed however the day needs it.
Regular host to classes, clubs and groups — yoga, art circles, craft mornings, children’s parties and parish council meetings alike.
Greenodd and Pennybridge Institute was built so that our community would always have a room of its own — a shared place bigger than any single home or garden. Generations of villagers have passed through its doors for meetings, whist drives, jumble sales, children’s parties and Christmas fairs.
Today we are run by a small, dedicated group of volunteer trustees and helpers, working to keep the hall in good repair and readily available for everyone who calls Greenodd, Pennybridge and the surrounding valleys home.
