Regular Clubs & Classes
Fitness groups, yoga, craft circles, art clubs, WI-style evenings, music practice and community choirs.
From weekly yoga and art clubs to family parties, community meals and parish council meetings — the Institute is set up to be flexible, affordable and easy to use.
At the heart of the Institute is a single generous room — warm in winter, well-lit year-round, with a plain wooden floor that suits dancing as well as it suits trestle tables. Chairs and tables are stored on site and included in the hire.
The hall is suitable for gatherings of up to around 80 people seated, and rather more standing or dancing.
The hall’s kitchen is simple and practical, with what you need to serve refreshments for a meeting or a full sit-down meal for a celebration. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and a large tea urn are available for use as part of the hire.
These are just some of the ways our hall is used over the course of a typical year. If you have something in mind that isn’t on this list, please ask — we can often say yes.

“We booked the hall for my mother’s ninetieth. It was a cold February evening — but the room was warm, the kettle was boiling, and everyone who mattered was under one roof.” — A local resident
