Facilities & Activities

A hall for classes, clubs, celebrations and quiet meetings.

From weekly yoga and art clubs to family parties, community meals and parish council meetings — the Institute is set up to be flexible, affordable and easy to use.

01 — The Main Hall

One good room, thoughtfully kept.

At the heart of the Institute is a single generous room — warm in winter, well-lit year-round, with a plain wooden floor that suits dancing as well as it suits trestle tables. Chairs and tables are stored on site and included in the hire.

The hall is suitable for gatherings of up to around 80 people seated, and rather more standing or dancing.

  • Level, accessible entry from the car-parking area
  • Accessible WC and standard toilets
  • Heating, lighting and sound-friendly acoustics
02 — Kitchen & Catering

Equipped for tea urns and full suppers.

The hall’s kitchen is simple and practical, with what you need to serve refreshments for a meeting or a full sit-down meal for a celebration. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and a large tea urn are available for use as part of the hire.

  • Domestic cooker and fridge
  • Serving counter into the hall
  • Crockery and glassware for up to 80 people
  • Kettle, large tea urn and tea service
03 — What the Hall Hosts
